Heating oil is a free resource for heating oil consumers to find the best heating oil prices, money saving tips and market monitor. We facilitate information sharing by asking you to:

1. Share your best heating oil pricing with the community so others can buy better
2. Recommend a supplier or warn us of potential scams to avoid being ripped off
3. Share your cost saving tips
4. Provide advice / answers to open questions

We believe that the 1.5million UK heating oil consumers deserve a strong voice to control the UK unregulated heating oil market. We will do this by sharing national pricing with each other so regional variances become public knowledge. All you have to do is:

1. Add the heating oil pricing quotes you get to our heating oil prices page. We will take this and produce a daily chart much like the ones we did in the past. However, we now want to use your “real data” so that every quote we receive becomes a public record.

2. Share your experience by recommending a supplier or warning us of potential risks of a supplier using either the Recommended suppliers page or supplier warning page. In the past we were abe to identify the rip off website Golocatefuel let’s 100′s of consumers down read about here. Plus identifying profiteering by heating oil companies in December 2010 brining about an OFT enquiry here is the data.

3. Save money by reading and sharing your own money saving tips to our tips page. We believe that there are many canny heating oil users who know how to best reduce their costs. This is an open invitation to share “canny” ideas so that others amy benefit.

4. Share knowledge by asking questions and receiving answers from the community. Use our Q&A page.

We would like to encourage community buying groups as buying in bulk is offers significant savings and is easy to organise. We have added a directory and invite you to create and add your own community buying group to the heating oil directory. The directory is open to everyone so you will also find a list of suppliers there too.
